Several years ago, in an online galaxy far, far away, I met a man named Pappy who had a vision to build a wooden boat with his two young boys. While out to meal with his family, Pappy cracked open a fortune cookie and pulled out the message. What he found on that message raised his sail sparking what was to become a rewarding project by a man and his sons.
This loving father did a little research, began compiling his vision, and set off to sea making his floating dream a reality.
I remember watching as he shared progress images of the boat building process. Having a young boy myself, it was quite satisfying to see this man and his two boys make it to the water with that boat.
Over the course of my own woodworking years, I have enjoyed many, many opportunities to have my own son working together with me on several projects. I am beyond grateful.
